Recently, the kick-off meeting for the national standard "Information Technology - UWB Positioning System - Air Interface Protocol" (Plan No.: 20241880-T-469), under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Information Technology Standardization and organized by the Real-time Positioning System Standard Working Group, was held at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in the High-tech Zone of Chengdu City.Locaris Technology attended this national standard kick-off meeting.

The meeting primarily discussed the draft of the national standard "Information Technology - UWB Positioning System - Air Interface Protocol".The background, significance and other aspects of drafting the national standard were introduced. Experts present exchanged views on issues related to the reference model, physical layer protocol and MAC layer protocol of the UWB positioning system.

Nearly 50 experts from over 30 industry-academia-research-application related units, including the China Electronics Standardization Institute, China Petroleum Safety & Environmental Protection Technology Research Institute, CETC 54, Yangtze Delta Region Institute (UESTC), CCTEG Changzhou Research Institute, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Wuhan University, Beidou Tiandi Co., Ltd., Locaris Technology Co., Ltd., attended the meeting for exchanges.The drafting group will modify and improve the draft based on feedback and accelerate specific discussions on the standard's clauses.

The formulation of national standards in the UWB positioning field is crucial for the development of indoor high-precision positioning technology and its application across the industry. It breaks down barriers that prevent product interoperability among different manufacturers, standardizes industry development and market order, reduces costs and increases efficiency, providing a strong guarantee for the development of indoor high-precision location services.As a member of the Real-time Positioning System Working Group under the National Technical Committee for Information Technology Standardization, Locaris Technology will leverage its years of technical R&D and industry application experience to actively contribute to the formulation of national standards.Furthermore, based on the high-precision, low-power UWB positioning chip (Ruixin 1000, power consumption ≤1mW@1Hz) and high-precision positioning system with independent intellectual property rights, which are outcomes of the Guangxi Innovation-driven Development Special Fund project "Video Intelligent Terminal Dedicated Chip R&D and Industrialization" in cooperation with Guilin University of Electronic Technology, Guilin Smart Industrial Park Co., Ltd. and Guilin High-tech Industrial Development Group Co., Ltd., Locaris Technology develops multiple high-precision positioning devices and systems including positioning inspection systems for complex scenarios, multi-angle video linkage monitoring and emergency broadcast communication systems, intelligent safety environment monitoring, fall protection and emergency command systems.Locaris Technology will continue to explore the application of UWB high-precision positioning technology in multiple industries and consumer-grade scenarios, actively acting as an explorer of industry applications and a practitioner of technological foresight.
