The U-loc positioning system is a high-precision indoor wireless positioning system independently developed by Locaris Technology based on Impulse-Radio Ultra-Wideband (IR-UWB) technology.It accurately and real-timely provides the real-time location and trajectory information of people and equipment in a given area, with low power consumption, low radiation, and positioning accuracy up to 10cm.

The U-Loc positioning system mainly consists of positioning tags, positioning base stations, a positioning engine, and an information processing and control platform.It can seamlessly integrate with the intelligent business management processes of industry users, making it easy for managers to intuitively understand on-site conditions and improve the level of refined management.It is widely used in fields such as smart power, petrochemicals, public security and justice, tunnel pipe galleries, smart factories, warehouse logistics, smart healthcare, and military industry.image.png

Such as smart power plants, public security and justice, energy and chemical industry, warehouse logistics, smart factories, hospitals, urban complexes, etc.It can also serve as a complement to high-precision GNSS, suitable for narrow spaces like urban alleys and low tunnels, as well as environments with severe occlusion such as dense forests and shed buildings.

The U-loc system can provide coordinate data output service up to 100Hz, perfectly recording the trajectory of targets moving at speeds of 60m/s.

Presence Detection Mode (Location Awareness)

By installing a single positioning base station within a given area, it is possible to detect whether an object is within or outside the base station’s coverage area, thereby enabling functions such as alerts and inventory tracking.

One-dimensional (1D) Positioning

In spaces such as subways, tunnels, mine shafts, and corridors, this system enables real-time measurement of the depth of moving objects, with an accuracy of up to 15 cm.

Two-dimensional (2D) Planar Positioning

By deploying a grid of at least three base stations, combined with vector maps and raster imagery, features such as geofencing, track playback, and route navigation can be implemented.

Three-dimensional (3D) Positioning

By deploying a grid of at least four base stations, 3D coordinates can be seamlessly integrated into all true 3D and panoramic mapping systems.

Layered Positioning

Install tiered base stations at the junctions between floors, and use them to trigger floor handover, making this method suitable for tiered positioning in multi-story spaces.

Mobile Terminal Positioning Calculation System

The UWB mobile terminal positioning calculation system operates similarly to outdoor GPS positioning mechanisms. Base stations transmit UWB data, and tags receive it. Compared to traditional positioning mechanisms, this system significantly reduces hardware resource requirements and power consumption for base stations. Tags operate independently of one another, with unlimited capacity. By scaling computing resources to the terminal level for position calculation, the system achieves low latency and high concurrency. The UWB self-calculating indoor positioning tag is designed to provide high-precision positioning information. It receives wireless signals from positioning base stations, calculates coordinates, and forwards positioning data via a serial port. This process determines the tag’s location coordinates without requiring a backend server, significantly simplifying the workflow and greatly enhancing positioning real-time performance. Used as a module, this product is installed on vehicles or mobile devices and interacts with the controller on the vehicle or device to enable positioning and navigation functions, meeting the control requirements for autonomous vehicles in industrial applications.
