Kemen Power Plant, under China Huadian Corporation - Electric Power Research Institute, has a total installed capacity of 2.4 million kW.The personnel positioning areas for its coal conveyor system include: coal conveying corridors, transfer stations (including the crusher building), and coal bunkers.

Solution

Inspection, maintenance, and cleaning personnel in the coal conveying system work long hours in narrow, crowded, enclosed, and dark spaces with numerous rotating machinery, high noise levels, and dense dust—making it a high-risk area in the power plant.To improve safety management and overcome vulnerabilities, Locaris Technology has deployed personnel positioning base stations and equipped cameras with image recognition in key monitoring areas such as coal conveying corridors, transfer stations, and coal sample transport routes. This enables real-time personnel positioning and trajectory tracking, generates alarms for abnormal situations, facilitates personnel safety management, and prevents unauthorized access.
